Incorporated on 2nd June 2010, and originally called Just One More Mile Ltd, our company is now proudly called Inner Circle Training Ltd, which reflects our new direction. Founded by Paul and Tracy Beattie, initially to offer our clients the opportunity to benefit from our skills and experience, the company now runs Manchester (and Stockport's) most unique motorcycle training school!
Inner Circle Training Ltd differs from other motorcycle training schools – our focus is on your safety and enjoyment of riding and the sense of camaraderie that all motorcyclists feel. We actively support the community of riders we are creating, helping you get the most from your riding throughout your riding career.

After his departure from the dark world of Lloyds Banking Group, Paul qualified as a motorcycle instructor. He has passed both the DSA's assessments and is now able to teach would-be riders both their Compulsory Basic Training (CBT) and by the Direct Access Scheme (DAS) so they can pass their Mod-1 and Mod-2 motorcycle tests. In early 2012 he also passed his RoSPA Diploma in Advanced Motorcycle Instruction, which is widely recognised as the highest civilian motorcycle riding and instructing qualification. After also passing his DSA Instructor's Theory Test (with 100% on the question section!) he joined the Register of Post-Test Motorcycle Trainers (RPMT) and is qualified to teach the DSA's Enhanced Rider Scheme.
So whether you are just thinking about learning to ride, are already riding but would like to improve, or are considering taking an advanced riding test with either the IAM or RoSPA, Paul can help! For more information on our Motorcycle Training services, see here, or better still, pop over to Inner Circle Training and see what we offer!.
In 2009 Paul was part of a motorcycle expedition riding from Anchorage, Alaska to Buenos Aires, Argentina via the top and bottom of the American continent. In 2011, he organised a trip for a couple of friends and rode across the USA using a series of dirt roads before exploring parts of the north west US solo. In early 2013, he was contacted by Kevin and Julia Sanders, founders and owners of Globebusters, the motorcycle expedition specialists to join their team as an expedition guide. He has completed and passed ITC Certificate in Emergency First Aid at Work and ITC Certificate in Outdoor First Aid qualifications and later that year helped guide a group on the Patagonia section, retracing part of the Trans-Americas route he did in 2009.
If you would like Paul to organise a trip for you, whether it's round Scotland or across the world, drop him an email and he would be delighted to help!
Paul has over 30 years experience in Information Technology across a variety of industry sectors, from engineering to financial services. His experience covers the full spectrum of IT roles, from his early days as an analyst-programmer, through project and programme management, development management, change management and more recently as an Enterprise Architect and Enterprise Architecture Manager.
His first assignment for Just One More Mile Ltd. involved working with a large Financial Services company to help establish an effective Enterprise Architecture function. Taking the existing EA team as his start point, he defined an operating model for EA within the organisation, including obtaining full support from other departments across the business and IT teams, coached and developed the skills within the team, identified critical skills gaps and recruited a permanent experienced Lead Enterprise Architect into the team. He then established working practices that will enable the new Enterprise Architecture function to fulfil its role in aligning the IT and Business Strategies to ensure future investment delivers a significant and sustainable improvement in IT agility. Paul did this in just 7 weeks, and was then asked to continue his involvement with the company on a part-time basis for a further 3 months, to help embed the changes and to provide further coaching and EA leadership until the new Lead Enterprise Architect starts.
Since that first assignment, Paul has undertaken a number of short-term, high-impact assignments with a couple of other large corporations. Whilst he prefers spending his time in the saddle of a motorcycle, he is always open to discussing opportunities to make a real difference in the corporate world, so drop him an email.
Tracy has not been idle whilst Paul has been establishing the IT consultancy part of the business and as well as handling all the setup of the new company, she has been busy carving out a niche for herself in the competitive world of home-made preserves... if you've not tried her infamous Chilli Jam, served up with strong cheddar on a wholemeal cracker, you've simply not lived... To try some, drop us an email, but be prepared for a wait, as demand is currently outstripping supply!
In late 2012, Tracy started working part-time performing data research on behalf of a large pharmaceutical company. Using her medical background, she researches medical treatments and the experts within various fields to provide highly valuable information to our clients. Her expertise is in sorting the wheat from the chaff - turning vast quantities of data into concise, highly valuable information. If you have a need for specialist data research, drop us a line.
